REFLEXO ON URBAN ART MAKES HIGH QUALITY ART
IN PUBLIC SPACE FREELY ACCESSIBLE TO ANYONE, AT ANY MOMENT OF THE DAY
Speto was the third in a row to paint one of the H-Flats. Impressions of the area and its, inhabitants were obviously an inspiration for his work. Speto stands for endurance and discipline, something he wants to hand out as an inspiration to the children who learn to fight for their dreams in the music school downstairs.

The luxury of R.U.A. is to follow the artists in their creative process. We try as much as possible to make this process visible online as well, to give you a glimpse of what goes through the brain and vains of an artist in full production in public space.
Haag en Veld West
Haag en Veld has been happy with R.U.A. since 2012, when Derlon painted the east side of the building. It was Ramons turn to paint the west side. The wall can be best seen from the Flierbosdreef, main entry for cars to the H-Buurt. Whoever is painting a wall of a H-Flat, has to be creative with the windows and pipes.
Hoptille is a famous building that stretches along the Abcouderpad from the viaduct in direction of commercial center De Poort. The actual state of the building is a little depressing and needs colour. Because of its enormous proportions, abstract work was a must.
Ovni developed an interactive program for the complex.
Passages Hofgeest and Haag en Veld
Onio is a king in painting strange objects; luggage he brought from his graffiti background. That's why we asked him to paint the passages of Hofgeest and Haag en Veld. They were dark and unsafe in the evening, a good reason to brighten it up with some colour.
Viaduct Abcouderpad Karspeldreef
Gais Ama started his carreer in art on passages along the highways and traintracks of Rio de Janeiro, that's why we asked him for this viaduct as well. Allthough difficult, we were sure he would impress us, bringing abstract colour and brightness to the surrounding square formerly known for its grey and dark atmosphere.
2009 - Rotterdam
Hogevecht Oost and connecting Garage
Another H-Flat with similar challenges, but in the case of Hogevecht, Rimon was asked to stretch his work until the garage next to the building. His colourful characters are direct inspiration from the people of the area. From a distance his work can be seen as a triptych - concept for the surrounding area.
