Diego Dedablio (1987) started painting at age 15 in the streets of his hometown Tatuí, in the interior of São Paulo state. He is strongly influenced by Brazilian popular culture, which comes to expression in colorful black Brazilian characters with a unique style. His work is a constant search for references to combine the popular with the daily modernity of a globalized world. The colors and lines of his compositions are based in musical metrics, poetic narratives and the dialogue with the street.
Dedablio considers this provincial city the gallery where he has been exhibiting his work; under the critical eye of the local population.
